FAQ

Giclée (pronounced Gee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer works. However, it is not the same as a standard desktop inkjet printer, and is much larger, more detailed, and uses high-quality archival inks. Giclée prints can be a little over nine feet wide and are printed on high quality archival papers and canvases. Giclée is the best way to produce archival fine art and photography.

Shipping a large box is expensive and we wouldn’t be able to offer free shipping, so we don’t offer framing at this time. Your local framing retailer can quickly create the perfect frame for your art piece. Also, it allows you to pick out the color, layout, and style that best fits your home or office. Check out our canvas framing examples here.

All of our illustrations are printed on a UV resistant white poly-cotton blend canvas specifically designed for gallery and museum display. When treated as instructed, our materials have been tested to last:

  • Canvas – 100 years
  • Color pigment – 200 years
  • Black and white pigment – 400 years

Your print should be treated as you would any piece of fine art. Do not position where it will be near direct sunlight or moisture like a bathroom. Do not try to clean with glass cleaner, or any other cleaning liquids. Use a soft dust brush to gently remove dust only when needed. Use a damp terrycloth towel very lightly to remove soiled areas.
